So this mix was intended for Galentine’s Day but then Nicki’s single didn’t leak properly yesterday and honestly IDEK how I was supposed to make a bad girl mix without her. Anyway, there’s NOTHING I love more than a good girl gang movie… but I’ve been going through serious withdrawal recently. We are in a girl gang drought! From the origs like Faster Pussycat Kill Kill! and Switchblade Sisters to the Pink Ladies, the Heathers, and the girls from Jawbreaker and The Craft. More recently, you could argue for Mean Girls, but I think that Whip It! and The Runaways come closer to that take-no-prisoners, bad-ass, who-gives-a-fuck spirit of past girl gang movies. There are only so many times I can watch my old favourites before I need a new girl gang in my life! Hence, this soundtrack for the girl gang movie I want to see made.
